Thrust

Henry did.

At 96 years of age Henry was thrust into a life and death situation .. a fellow resident at their senior living community was in distress and before anyone else had a chance to do anything Henry jumped in … knowing exactly what to do he saved that person’s life.

But saving lives was nothing new for Henry … you see he’d been a thoracic surgeon who’d dedicated his life to finding simple solutions to complex medical problems … and 42 years earlier when he was 54 he had done just that when he learned of an abdominal fact … 4,000 Americans died every year needlessly for the simplest of reasons … so Henry did two things .. first he researched and developed a simple solution that anyone could perform … and second he promoted the heck out of it. And that was that.

Today, Henry’s solution … is credited with saving the lives of over 100,000 people who were choking including President Ronald Reagan, Elizabeth Taylor, Goldie Hawn, Jack Lemmon, Cher, Nicole Kidman, and that resident in Henry’s senior home. And it is still named after Henry … Henry Heimlich and his Heimlich Manoeuvre.

The Hemilich Manoeuvre is a great idea … because a simple effective idea can thrust you forward to success.
