The Whole Universe

Ed did.

Ed was definitely not interested. As the leader of a band and its main songwriter, downtime was precious to him … and he’d rather spend it at the cottage.

Over the years, he had been approached many times about creating music for television or the movies … at first he was always flattered and tried to do something great … but then he’d find out that he was just one of many many groups that had been approached … and his songs was never selected anyway so no he wasn’t going to do it yet again.

But this time Ed had misunderstood …. You see Chuck and Bill were producers who were struggling to even think about how to come up with a theme song for their new situation comedy.

One night Chuck and Bill were in the audience at a show with Ed’s band in Los Angeles … when Ed stopped and talked about the science book we was reading called The Most Important Scientific Discovery of All Time and Why You Need to Know About It," and then Ed improvised a song about cosmological theory onstage.

Well, bang, Chuck and Bill knew who had to write the theme song.

When they called Ed … they said you don’t understand … you are the only person we are approaching … so Ed was all in … and then they told them their dilemma … Ed had to some up of all human history in about 30 seconds or so.

Today, Ed Robertson’s catchy song is heard about a gazillion times a day all over the world .. as Chuck & Bill’s show has been top rated for almost 10 years and is still going strong … The Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory song is a great idea … because giving it your best might lead to you being remembered until the end of time!
