Guy did.
Guy dropped out of school to be a street performer or busker … but he never made much money so reluctantly returned home to take a full-time job working in a Hydro Electric plant … well three days in the company goes on strike and Guy gets fired … taking this as a sign … he goes back to being a busker but this time he partners with friends … over a few years they have some minor success … but then the Quebec government announces a special $1.5 million arts grant … and Guy’s partner walks 56 kilometres on stilts to impress the committee. They get the grant, build a troupe, put on a show … and make a modest profit … and that’s when Guy had a great idea … He took the whole troupe lock stock and barrel to Los Angeles to perform at a local Arts Festival in hopes of drumming up more business … and literally invested everything he had to make it happen … if the show failed there wouldn’t be enough money to come home. Well the sun was shining on Guy … the show was a huge, huge hit in the centre of the entertainment universe and offers poured in.
Today, the company street performer Guy and his partners founded thanks to an awfully long walk on stilts is largest theatrical producer in the world with multiple shows entertaining millions of people annually. Cirque Du Soleil
