James did.

James was born and grew up near Fort Erie, Ontario. He worked in the general store and he loved cheese … he loved it so much that when he was 28 he moved to Buffalo to start a cheese wholesaler with some partners … but just a year later while James was in Chicago on business his not so krafty partners suddenly dissolved their agreement … leaving James stranded without a job and just $65 in his pocket …. Now others might have been done like dinner … but not James … right there and then he decided to start his own company .. wholesaling cheese in Chicago … he bought a horse and cart and transported cheese from makers and to small stores. His clients loved the service and business grew fast. Soon James was making his own cheese too … but cheese back then had a very short shelf life without refrigeration … so James tinkered and ended up creating processed cheese … which could last months and months on store shelves … it was a huge hit … and fuelled phenomenal growth for James’ company. Before long he was creating and selling many more food products …. And his company expanded back to his native Canada.

Today, the company started by cheese lover James which he named after himself is a famous worldwide … as is his most famous cheese food product .. which sells over 7 million boxes every week around world … including almost 2 million in Canada alone … and, in the process, has become Canada’s unofficial meal for everyone from new immigrants to prime ministers … Kraft Dinner.

KD is a great idea … because sometimes even the really cheesy ideas make a lot of cents.
