Brian did …

Brian has always loved being an entrepreneur. When he was a kid he washed the neighbours’ cars undercutting the other kids down the street … at school he sold candy and almost put the school store out of business. He struggled but finally made his way to college.

One day while eating at McDonald’s Brian watched a dump truck with all sorts of unwanted stuff go through the drive thru … suddenly he knew what he wanted to do … so he bought his own truck for $700 and soon Rubbish Boys were in business … Rubbish being a British term for waste or junk. Things went well and soon Brian had three trucks … and but this meant he couldn’t keep up with his college classes.

Brian spent his summer vacation thinking about what he should do … and made a big decision. He gave up college and went full-time into hauling junk.

However Rubbish Boys was not a name that would really fly for expansion into the US … so he needed to come up with a better name … A co-worker suggested a variation on the successful Milk Marketing campaign. The vision clicked.

Today, Brian’s company cleans up with revenues of over $100 million annually and calls Canada, US and Australia home … 1-800-Got Junk.

1-800-Got Junk is a Great Idea because getting the stuff you don’t need out of the way allows you to focus on what really matters.
