John did.
John was a psychology student at Stanford University in California … and one day he witnessed something that shook him to his core … a gruesome multicar accident on a San Francisco freeway. He was so shocked in fact that he took time off from his PhD work to see if he could come up with something, anything to help prevent car accidents. And he did. He called it Cyberlite.
Now John took Cyberlite to auto manufacturers and suppliers, but they weren’t interested. He applied for grants from government agencies to prove Cyberlite worked and got turned down.
Finally, five years later, John was so frustrated he took his own money and funded his own trial … he placed a Cyberlite in each of 340 San Francisco taxi cabs and measured accidents they were involved with against a control group of 143 regular cabs.
The results were outstanding .. cabs equipped with Cyberlites were involved in 60% fewer accidents than regular cabs. Everyone finally took notice.
Today, the device John Voevodsky originally came up with, pushed for and then proved out on his own dime .. is now standard equipment on every car and every truck manufactured … saving of countless lives through an estimated 200,000 fewer accidents every year across the country.
