Moya did.

Moya was the producer of a live show in Dublin and she had problem … what to do during the intermission between acts that might be interesting. Well this was no ordinary show it was the prestigious Eurovision song contest finals … and the audience of 300 million people expected to be entertained … so Moya organized a seven minute performance … merging local music, an amazing choir and the innovative choreography of the two lead dancers.

Well that seven minute performance was so successful it overshadowed the rest of the show … and that’s when Moya had a great idea … maybe people would pay to see a full show of the dancing … so she and her partner invested everything to do it … and nine months later opened in Dublin … It was an immediate hit … and because everyone who had seen it on tv loved it… the demand to tour became intense … the rest is history.

Today, 25 years later, that seven minute performance organized by Moya Doherty for an intermission between acts at the Eurovision song contest and the eventual show that it spawned has taken in over $1 billion at the box office playing live to 25 million people in almost 50 countries around the world … and its known by just one word.
