The Ladies were good friends who lived in Calgary … they were mothers and wives who loved to get together to play cards, eat good food and talk. Sometimes … they would even go away for weekends where they shared everything from their hopes & dreams to the best ideas for great food to simple business ideas they could work on together. They laughed, they cried … and one weekend they had an idea. An idea they thought was worth pursuing as a group … because first they saw a need and second but maybe more importantly it would be fun …

When they went to the bank to borrow some money … the bank manager who approved their loan warned them they would never stay friends. Well, the Ladies were determined to do it their way and prove him wrong.

Today, forty years after that weekend, the Ladies still control and operate their business … and they have stuck together in good times and in bad.
