Jean was divorced and living in a small Alberta town with her two small children.

She loved to cook … and supported her family by running a small café. To make extra money Jean would often cater parties and events. Well, everyone loved Jean’s food and pretty soon she sold the cafe and became the “go to” caterer in town when you had company coming over.

Well, people kept asking Jean for her recipes. So, seeing an opportunity, she wrote her first cookbook, at the age of 53, called “150 Delicious Squares”. It was a big hit … selling 15,000 copies in just three months. With sales continuing to grow she wrote another cookbook … and then another. Before long, Jean had written and self-published more than 200 cookbooks. With each one typically about a single subject, with lots of recipes, relying on readily available ingredients.

Today, the company Jean Pare (PAIR-ee) created has sold over 30 million cookbooks and remains wildly popular. Company’s Coming.
