Tom did.
Tom loved food and loved running restaurants. More than that .. he wanted to own one. That’s when a blind ad in the newspaper caught his eye. A local restaurant chain needed help … It wasn’t for sale but they needed someone to help turn it around.
The chain had been started by a Reverend … so his small congregation could afford to pay his salary. Its first location … Calgary’s Southcentre mall … It was a “saucy” idea and grew way beyond expectations. Soon locations all across Canada and in the US were offering hot, fresh food … but with the Reverend promoted to Bishop … and challenges mounting, the chain needed help.
And that’s when Tom jumped in as President turning an unique “mom & pop” mall kiosk concept into a thriving, mainstream food service franchise that has successfully moved out of the malls and into street front stores across Canada.
Today the restaurant chain started by a Reverend and then beefed up and now owned by Tom Donaldson, has over 100 locations across the country serving over 8 million hot and fresh meals every year. Edo Japan.
