A Fine Idea

Ernie did.

Ernie had a decision to make. He ran a fine business in downtown Calgary that furnished his family with a great living. He loved helping people everyday and everyone always felt at home in Ernie’s showroom.

But now, after many years of building up the business, he and his family had received an unprecedented offer to buy the land underneath the store … an offer he just couldn’t pass up. Moreover, it had only been just a few years since they had rebuilt the store after the original building had been destroyed in a terrible fire that had transfixed the entire city.

Ernie’s customers had stuck with him as he rebuilt. How could he shut his doors now? And what about the future for his kids and grandkids? He had rejected such offers in the past but this one was just too crazy. But then Ernie had a thought .. why not just build an even better store elsewhere.

So that’s what they did. Ernie and his family bought some land on the outskirts of town and put up the best looking store anyone could think of … and their customers flocked there because it was worth the drive.

Well, today, Ernie’s unique store is no longer on the outskirts as Calgary has grown pretty large and now affluent homes surround the store in all directions … and the grandkids who used to play hide and seek in the store now run the place … and building stands our every time you drive pass it on Sarcee Trail … McArthur Fine Furniture.

McArthur Fine Furniture is a great idea … because furnishing people with great service leads to great long-term success.
