A Crack Job

Matt did.

Matt was 14 and eagerly looked forward to opening the one Christmas present he had under the tree … it was from his parents and he knew it had to be something special. And it was … he just didn’t quite know it at the time … it was a … shovel.

The message from his parents was clear … earn your own money … and so he did shovelling snow for others … that first day he made $120. Matt realized he could make more than the minimum wage and be his own boss.

A few years later after Matt had moved to Calgary he needed to earn some money during the summer so he could competitively snowboard in the winter.

He didn’t have much to work with… so he looked around for a business he could start himself with just a few tools … and then he found it. … a clear vision for a new business.

Starting at a shopping mall in the Airdrie .. he set up an orange tent and got to work. Before long he added a second location and then a third.

Today, the company Matt started has over 130 locations with highly noticeable orange tents in shopping mall parking lots across Western Canada … Deco Windshield Repair.
